As an Integrative Wellness and Life Coach, I help clients get from where they are to where they want to be, by teaching them how to grow, help themselves, and change their own lives. We work on identifying core issues that may be holding them back, and causing imbalances.

Together we intentionally work towards balance, harmony and wholeness in the areas of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. My approach is holistic and integrative, meaning that I focus on the balance of the whole person, including mind, body, heart and spirit, integrating a combination of techniques and modalities, creating wholeness and harmony and overall wellness.

Kim Williams is a certified Integrative Wellness and Life Coach with over 40 years experience as a Registered Nurse, and 10 of those years as a Nurse Practitioner. Over the years, she has coached many adults towards living a better, healthier, more balanced fulfilling life.
After learning how to identify, address and work on her own life imbalances and health challenges, Kim started focusing on coaching others to do the same. She guides adult clients through self discovery, growth and empowerment, as they choose to make transformational changes in their own lives.

I have spent over 40 years working in healthcare as a nurse and nurse practitioner, mostly treating illness and helping others recover from illness, and also dealing with my own health and wellness issues and imbalances. Through the years, I began to feel a sense of frustration in being a part of a system that focused on treating only the physical needs of the body during illness. I began to realize that there are other aspects of one’s self that need to be addressed in order to heal and live a healthier and more balanced life. I felt the need to be proactive, versus reactive, in my personal as well as my professional life. Our future health and wellness depends not just on the physical self, but the mental, emotional and spiritual self as well.
My own journey towards balance and wellness began in 2015, when I was working a stressful job in a very toxic work environment. I felt more anxious than my normal, was overworked, unfulfilled, fatigued and burned out. I finally realized I needed to get out so I changed jobs. I also started meditating after my husband and I attended a Transcendental Meditation workshop. Over several years, we dealt with serious health issues within our family which brought about a large amount of stress. Being more mindful, slowing down and meditating helped us both feel we could better deal with the stress, and feel more focused, relaxed and grounded. It also helped me decrease my anxiety.
In early 2017, I was searching for a medical conference, something different than others I had attended, maybe one that focused more on wellness. I happened upon one called Integrative Health and Nutrition by Dr Andrew Weil, a conference scheduled for May 2017 that interested me and was nothing like any course I had taken. I signed up for the conference, which focused on teaching us how to be more mindful in all areas of our own lives including self care, nutrition and balance. It changed my life.
At the same conference, I learned about a University of Arizona certification course in Integrative Health and Wellness. I was excited and wanted to learn more so I signed up for the course which would start August 2017.
Unfortunately right after the conference in May, I found out I had cancer and needed an extensive surgery. At the same time, we were in the middle of remodeling our home. The remodel was stressful but ended up being something fun and positive to focus on. Right after my cancer surgery June 5, 2017, my father became seriously ill, requiring life saving surgery. Really, what else could happen?? During all of the chaos, I did experience some moments of fear, freaking out, feeling out of control, and very stressed. I was able to get in touch with the tools and self care practices I had learned in the conference and put them to work for me. I focused on meditation, breathing techniques and stress reduction to get through those challenging times. I was able to enroll and participate in the Integrative Health and Wellness certification course two months after my surgery, even though I was still recovering and healing. The course had a positive influence in all areas of my life, expanding my knowledge and curiosity as I continued to work on healing and self care.
Those tough times and other past experiences fueled my passion to help others attain wholeness and balance in their lives. As a certified Integrative Wellness and Life Coach, I continue to be a work in progress, as we all are, and embrace a culture of continuous learning and growth.
